We would like to take this opportunity to introduce our company to you. SLA Management provides managed school lunch programs throughout Florida and Georgia. We are dedicated to providing high quality, nutritious, and cost efficient meal programs to our academic communities.

We are pleased to announce that our company will be managing your school’s lunch program for the 2012-2013 school year.

Our Meals
Nutrition is a vital component of SLA’s school lunch program. All school lunches will meet and often exceed the National School Lunch daily values for protein, vegetables, fruit, dairy and grain. Our menus are free of trans-fats and are low in sodium, sugar and high fructose corn syrup content. Additionally, all of our breads are made from whole grain products. Our menus are reviewed and approved by a Registered Dietician.

--Implementation of updated National School Lunch values.

--Expanded daily use of fresh fruits and vegetables.

--Expansion of home cooked meal options.

--Reductions in sodium content and high fructose corn syrup.

--Complete whole grain bread program.

--No trans-fats in any ingredients.

Your Lunch Program
We offer a daily hot meal (sides & beverage included) and entrée alternative (every day except Pizza Day). We also offer alternating wrap and salad choices. All selections will be displayed on our menus which will be provided each month.

Our lunch programs are designed to combine traditional favorites with healthy and balanced meal choices. We strive to create a lunchroom atmosphere that provides an uplifting and positive experience for our students each day.

Lunch Prices
Elementary (Lower): $4.00 (Includes entrée, appropriate sides, and beverage)

Middle & High School (Upper): $5.00 (Includes entrée, appropriate sides, and beverage).

A La Carte
A la Carte items will now be offered in most of our programs for an additional charge.

Purchasing Lunch
We will utilize an online payment system. Parents are able to deposit funds into their student’s online lunch account and students will use an assigned 5-digit PIN number to charge their lunch in the service line. Deposits to student accounts can be made using credit cards, debit cards or online checks. Parents will have 24 hour access to their online account in order to review and maintain their student’s activity.

The online guide will provide detailed instructions for registering, adding student(s) and depositing money into their lunch account. As with any online system, there is a 2.3% plus .50 cents convenience fee that will also be charged to your account. This equals a $2.80 transaction fee for every $100.00 deposited into a student account. Full details are included in the online instructional narrative.

As a courtesy, balance reminders will be emailed each week for accounts having $25.00 or less. If you are not receiving these emails, please let us know.

Green Initiatives
SLA Management is environmentally conscious and motivated to make a contribution to this effort. We are excited to announce we will be teaming with TerraCycle to broaden our impact and initiate recycling programs in many of our schools. All monetary credits for our recycling efforts will be donated to a designated charity. Please stay tuned for additional updates and information on this initiative.
