National Recognition for CCA Volleyball Players

Earlier this year, CCA Eagle volleyball players Heather Brown and Julia Mangum received incredible honors, receiving special mentions in a national high school volleyball showcase.

2016 PREP VOLLEYBALL SUPER SOPH 79 SPECIAL MENTION

Heather Brown, 5-8 OH, Christ’s Church Academy (Jacksonville, Florida) – Brown earned Third Team All-First Coast honors after recording 172 kills, 288 digs and 50 aces for the Eagles in 2016. “Heather is a huge contributor on offense and defense,” noted local club coach CJ Sherman. “She also shows maturity and consistency on the court and is an outstanding leader.” Behind Brown, CCA reached the Florida 2A semifinals.

 

 

2016 PREP VOLLEYBALL FAB FROSH 59 SPECIAL MENTION

Julia Mangum, 5-11 MB, Christ's Church Academy (Jacksonville, Florida) — Mangum led the team in blocks with 62 solo/39 assists, was second in kills with 195 and had a .398 hitting percentage. She helped CCAto District and Regional titles and a Florida state semifinal appearance. She was one of only two freshmen to earn All-First Coast Volleyball honors.
