As Paul said in 2 Corinthians 8:7: “You are rich in everything—in faith, in speaking, in knowledge, in truly wanting to help, and in the love you learned from us. In the same way, be strong also in the grace of giving.”
When we think of giving, we are reminded that no matter how big or small - it takes it all! At CCA, giving can be anything from collecting labels, giving of your time, or a financial gift. Read up on all the ways you can make a difference at CCA. For questions about any of these options, please get in touch with Chris Wayne, Director of Marketing and Development.
The Annual Fund is the most important fundraising program at CCA. It brings in the most donations year after year and it is essential for the continuation and the growth of our school and allows us to keep the tuition as low as possible. Tuition accounts for approximately 80% of the schools' operating budget while the remaining funds needed must come from the Annual Fund and other fundraising efforts. Please read complete details by viewing the Annual Fund link on the right.
Band of Love - The Cross
Help us fill the cross! As we joined together over the summer, your generous gifts toward the new CCA Discipleship Center helped us get the almost-finished product that we have now. We challenged our CCA families at orientation to join with us in filling the cross - the display for the leaves. We need about 70 more donations of $300 or more each to fill the cross and in turn achieve the final pieces of the Discipleship Center. There is a matching gift of up to $10,000 in addition to the 70 leaves. With this money, we will be able to create two real theater production dressing rooms back stage, and purchase the necessary technology for teleconferencing in the Discipleship Room. If you are able to help, please complete the attached form and return it with your donation. Many thanks to each of you! Together we can make a difference!
Box Tops for Education
You can make a difference for our school each time you shop. Please refer to the attached list for all participating companies, brands, and products. Once you clip the Box Tops from your favorite products, put them in a marked envelope and turn them in to your child's teacher. Thanks for helping us!
Campbell's Soup Labels
CCA does collect Campbell Soup Labels. As a reference guide for the labels, visit www.labelsforeducation.com. Clip the UPC codes, place in an envelope and send in with your student for their homeroom teacher or drop off at the Welcome Center.
We do not hold a Capital Campaign each year; however, we reserve these fundraisers for facility specific items or significant upgrades to the campus. When they are held, they are not intended to take the place of the Annual Fund. Capital Campaigns should be expected every few years to maintain and improve our campus and level of excellence.
CCA Media Center/Library
The CCA Media Center/Library welcomes your donations. We accept new, or "good as new," books that are current titles. As far as specific needs, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students do alot with biographies
and we always have a need in this department. The "who was" series is a popular series with our students, as well, and we can use several copies of these. We continuously have a need for Award books in order to participate in the Sunshine State Reader's Program. If you have a specific question, please contact Lisa Herring
Fill a Need!
In addition to the help of the PTP Board, there are many opportunities for volunteering during the school year. It could be helping with vision screenings or picture day. It may be stapling papers and organizing curriculum. It might be making phone calls and connecting with our CCA families. Whatever the opportunity, there are many and we can't do this without YOU! If you'd like to add your name to a list of volunteers, please contact us HERE. We promise not to bother you, but knowing that you have a heart for volunteering will help us use your talents in a BIG, HELPFUL way! Thank you!!
Financial Assistance Fund
CCA is dedicated to partnering with families in training up young children for Christ. We strive to keep tuition low in order to enable as many families as possible to join us in that effort. But, the reality is that many families struggle to keep their child enrolled at CCA. In order to alleviate some of that need, we have the Financial Assistance Fund. This is an incredibly important opportunity to offer support to families in need of financial assistance. In today’s strengthening counter-culture, we must ensure that all children receive equal access to a Biblical foundation. Please prayerfully consider supporting your fellow, and future, CCA families by giving to the Financial Assistance Fund.
Each year, CCA will have two or three fundraisers throughout the nine months the students are in school. All school families are asked to participate in these fundraisers. Additionally, there are many fundraisers put on by different classes, groups or sports teams at CCA. Also, the PTP (Parent Teacher Partnership) will typically have a few fundraisers throughout the year.
Neighbors in Need
Neighbors in Need is a program organized by the CCA Parent Teacher Partnership designed to provide up to two meals a week for any CCA family who is going through personal difficulty. Please see complete details on the attached PDF file. If interested in helping, please print, complete, and turn into Karla at the Welcome Center.
The Promise Tree adorns a wall of our lobby and has been created to leave lasting memories or gifts given. Families, businesses, and friends can purchase an engravable leaf, stone, or acorn in honor of their child, a teacher, or a loved one. All proceeds from the Promise Tree benefit our Annual Fund. Click on the pdf link below for the Promise Tree Order Form. Simply return the form, with donation, to CCA.
Every year, Target sends us a check because parents and teachers have designated Christ’s Church Academy as part of Target’s program called “Take Charge of Education”. This is a way of helping our school while you are shopping and not spending any additional money. It does require you to have either a “Target Red Card” or a “Target Debit Card”. Please note that this is not a Visa or MasterCard, but a store charge. In addition to helping our school, you also get 5% off of the purchase price of everything you purchase, everyday. So, if you are paying for your shopping with a credit card, or a debit card, a portion of every purchase comes to Christ’s Church Academy. There is no additional cost to you, and you get a 5% discount! If you would like to sign up for this program, please stop by your local Target store and fill out an application. Target is in the process of officially changing our name so it may be found under either “Mandarin Christian School” or, “Christs Church Academy” [they do not use our apostrophe]. Our school ID number is 27891.
