General Questions

The Admissions Office is located just beyond the Welcome Center at the front of the main building, and parking is available for you just outside the entrance.

You certainly may, and we would love to meet you!  Our monthly Open House events include group tours, as well as a chance to meet some of our staff.  You can also schedule a private tour by contacting our Director of Admissions at hfeltman@ccajax.org.

Yes we do!  You may be relocating, your family may have undergone a change, or your child may just need a new start or a different environment.  We understand, so we keep our doors open for you!  You can visit our Online Application page to take your first step in becoming a part of the CCA Family, request more information, or if you're ready, submit your application now.

Your child is growing up and will someday step out into a fast-paced, performance-driven world.  It is our goal to ensure that every student graduating from Christ's Church Academy is prepared for the next step prior to entering that world.  To accomplish this goal, CCA prepares students for success at every level.  In Lower School, we build the foundation of your child's education on exploration and imagination.   In Middle School, we provide a rigorous academic standard, but work diligently to provide a safe, nurturing environment in which they may excel.  In High School, we prepare students for the academic rigors of college and the demands of professional life.

Yes! CCA fields 26 teams competing in 11 different sports programs for boys and girls in high school and middle school.  Many of these teams are consistently vying for district championships, and some have progressed to regional and state competition.  In fact, our varsity volleyball won their state championship in 2017 (the first in school history), our tennis program houses a State Champion for singles, and students in each of our last 11 graduating classes have moved on to compete at the college level.

CCA Athletics, however, is about more than victory; it's about living out our faith and Christian walk on and off the field. We teach hard work, discipline, teamwork, fair play, and respect for our opponents, regardless of the result.  Our coaches work diligently to teach our athletes how to be successful in sports and in life, regardless of their athletic prowess.

Christ's Church Academy is a ministry of Christ's Church.  With that being said, CCA is a non-denominational school that serves students of many different faiths and cultures. We welcome all families to our inclusive community.

Yes...and no.  All too often, children and young adults focus on clothing as a comparison, and sometimes use this comparison to establish superiority (or assume inferiority) within their peer group.  To minimize this, Christ's Church Academy advocates a school uniform policy.  On typical school days, CCA students wear uniforms as outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook.

However, on special days, students are permitted to wear "CCA Spirit Wear" or may choose to participate in "dress down days" that benefit charitable causes.  On these special days, students are encouraged to express their individuality while still following dress code guidelines established by the administration.

You can find the complete list in our high school profile but to date, our students have been accepted to 194 colleges and universities.  Our graduates have chosen local schools like Jacksonville University and the University of North Florida as well as schools in every corner of the nation like Yale, Syracuse, Cal-Berkley, and USC.  They have gone on to large universities and small colleges. Our one-on-one college counseling service offers an opportunity for each student to apply to the college, university or educational institution that best suits their future career needs.

Absolutely!  In fact, Christ's Church Academy could not be what it is or do what it does without you!  CCA has a very active parent group - the Parent Teacher Partnership (PTP) - that works side-by-side with faculty, staff, and administration to maximize the family atmosphere that truly sets us apart.  They provide fundraising opportunities, missions outreach, and support to our faculty/staff.  PTP encourages all CCA parents and grandparents to offer their assistance at the school – in the classroom, on the field or at PTP events.

Application Process Questions

Our admissions team and administration consider more than simply academic achievement when assessing a student's potential for an education at CCA.  In addition to standardized test scores and transcripts, they observe and review character and conduct, academic ability, teacher recommendations, family involvement and support, and more.  Above all else, we view and respect your child as a shining example of God's creation and will treat them as such during the application process.

Christ's Church Academy is a welcoming and safe place.  Our Admissions Team is filled with kind, caring people who will go out of their way to make them feel comfortable.  Some children become anxious at the mention of a test, but we are quick to mention that it is simply an evaluation.  This evaluation will assess reading, math, grammar, and writing, but there is no pass or fail.  It is only a tool that the Admissions Team reviews to best minister to and meet the needs of your student should they be admitted to CCA.

Our interview process is simply a "get-to-know-you" time with our Director of Admissions. During the interview, a member of the CCA Admissions Team speaks with your child about their interests and hobbies. The interview time allows us to begin to understand the personality and character of your child. We strive to make this a fun conversation where your student feels comfortable and welcome.

Your child's educational experience is of the utmost importance to us here at Christ's Church Academy.  We want to be able to offer your child the best learning environment possible, setting them up for success in school and in life.  After compiling all information, the CCA Admissions Team and Administration will make a decision regarding your child's acceptance.  We feel it irresponsible, however, to suggest a rigid timetable for this decision, because every child, including yours, is unique and demands individual consideration as a potential student at CCA.
