Leadership

Dr. Nichols has been with Christ's Church Academy since 1998, and has served as Head of School since 2012. She earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Samford University, and earned her PhD from Capella University. Dr. Nichols has a deep passion for the students, and the staff, and she is dedicated whole-heartedly to building Godly generations of young adults the world will not change. She and her husband, David, have two children, Spencer and Makay, who are both CCA graduates.

Mrs. Hartford comes to CCA from Indianapolis, IN after just moving to FL in the summer of 2018, due to her husband’s job relocation. Previously she served as assistant principal at Roncalli High School in Indianapolis since 2006. She also has four years of experience teaching middle school and one year of experience teaching elementary school. In addition, she worked nine years in social work as a case manager with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana. She is married to her husband Chet, of twenty seven years. They have three grown children, a daughter-in-law, a Goldendoodle and a granddog, Goldendoodle. Their children all live in Indiana and look forward to visiting often. Mrs. Hartford has a passion for serving and has been a very active member in her in church, school and community in Indiana. She is excited to bring that passion to CCA and to get to meet all of the wonderful members of the CCA family.

Mrs. Carithers has been with CCA since it began in 1995. She attended Southeastern Bible College and is currently attending Liberty University. Besides reading, Mrs. Carithers loves crafting and making jewelry. Being raised in a Christian home, she accepted Christ as her personal savior when she was in the sixth grade.

Kurt Dugan is a native of Nashville, TN. He went to college at Lipscomb University where he played baseball and majored in Government and Public Administration. After teaching middle school and coaching high school baseball for three years in Nashville, he moved with his family to Jacksonville. He has been at Christ’s Church Academy since 2000 teaching both middle school and high school. Kurt has coached both middle school and high school baseball.
