Christ-Centered Educational Excellence

Clubs and Organizations at CCA

At Christ's Church Academy, clubs and organizations are a thriving part of our community. We value developing friendships over common interests and encourage students to not only participate in clubs and organizations but also help lead them if they choose. 100% of our middle school and high school students participate in at least one club or organization. We have over 25 to choose from so that students have a wide variety of options.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Angels for Allison: In this club, there will be multiple service projects to raise awareness for a local organization, Angels For Allison, which helps families pay for the expenses of a lost child’s funeral. Each month we will be doing crafts (including painting their signature angels and making signs for up and coming events). The events will also be volunteer opportunities for CCA students. We will also be doing mini projects throughout the year in addition to the big events that the organization holds.

Ballroom/Line Dancing: Learn any of a variety of social or recreational dances performed by couples, as in a ballroom. Line dancing is a form of dancing performed by rows of people to country and western music.

Board Games: “Board Games” as in ‘Old-school style’. Yes, your parents and grandparents played non-electronic games!  They are still called “Board Games” and are a lot of fun! In this club we will learn and play several traditional board games in small-group settings.  Come increase not only your strategic game-playing skills but work on those ever-important social skills, too! (Max 20 members)

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA): Learn to use athletics to be a witness to others for Jesus Christ through devotional studies, discussions, and testimonies of athletes.

"Rooted in Faith" Garden Club: Is open to any 6th - 12th grade student with or without a green thumb! We will plan, plant and harvest vegetables and herbs in CCA’s Rooted in Faith Garden. We will learn about the Tower Gardens, which uses vertical aeroponic technology, and learn about organic gardening.

Military in our Community: If you are interested in our military, this club is for you! What does it mean to a community? How is military life different and how can we serve the military in our area? You will have opportunities to do service projects in support of the military and veterans around us.

Mystery Music: Have you heard this before? Join Mr. Ponder as he introduces “obscure” music to you.

Paws for a Cause Club:If you love animals, this club is for you! Members assist the Jacksonville Humane Society and other organizations by collecting toys, food, and other care items. This club’s goal is to help students learn more about animals as well as provide opportunities to those who want to help serve.
