“Discipleship Groups for all kids, Bible Buddies, chapels, Bible classes and Love Out Loud sets CCA apart from other schools in the Jacksonville area. This is a Christian school that keeps Christ central on a daily and weekly basis. CCA's culture teaches kids to take responsibility for their faith and to love other people. The academics speak for themselves (top notch), but the kids' actions speak even louder by how they are becoming Christ-like.”

We dedicate ourselves each day to imparting scriptural truth into each and every child, including yours.  Through our lessons, conversations, scheduled discussion time, and service projects, we teach our students how to love as God loves us, and we give them the opportunity to put their love into action in the world around them.

Discipleship at CCA

CCA's Middle School and High School students take a required daily Bible class in which scripture is explored, discussed, and applied to their lives.  Our teachers present concepts derived from both the Old and New Testaments, reflecting on Christ and ultimately on God.  Students are encouraged to share what they've learned during Bible class at home, and are given ways to incorporate what they've discussed in a family setting.

CCA Discipleship Groups, comprised of Middle School and Upper School students, meet on Wednesdays throughout the year.  In these gender- and grade- specific groups led by CCA staff and school volunteers, small groups come together to look at the issues facing them on a daily basis.  During these conversations, biblical principles are applied to help the students navigate through these issues.  It is during these times when we find closer bonds are made between everyone in the class.

Weekly chapel services (Tuesday-Upper School, Thursday-Lower School) give all of our students a chance to worship God and contemplate different scriptural issues all year long.  Speakers from around the community and around the country speak with our students.  The chapel service itself is student-led, allowing these young men and women to serve God in a unique way.  Both services are open to parents, so please stop by!

Love Out Loud is one of the most important things we do at CCA each year - it's an entire week of community service for every student!  For some, it means ministering to Jacksonville's homeless community.  For others, it means processing food donations which go to the hungry in Duval County.  For still others, it means visiting tenants at a retirement home, helping with yard work, sorting donations for a local shelter, or volunteering at the Florida School of Special Education.  Love Out Loud Week impacts our community and changes our students' hearts.

CCA promotes a spirit of service far within and far beyond the local community.  Each year, students participate in mission events to Jacksonville's Ronald McDonald House, Costa Rica and New York City.  These students serve however they are needed and spread Christ's love wherever and whenever possible.  CCA students additionally run fundraising drives for various organizations like Rethreaded, the Jacksonville Humane Society, Samaritan's Purse, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and more.
