Non Traditional Student Athletic Eligibility
Participation in athletics for non traditional students is governed by the eligibility requirements established by the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA).
Under current FHSAA bylaws, non traditional students may participate in athletics only within the county in which they reside, unless they qualify for a specific exception established by the FHSAA.
As a result, Christ’s Church Academy is able to accept athletic participation requests from non traditional students who reside in Duval County, unless a student meets one of the eligibility exceptions approved by the FHSAA.
Families interested in athletic participation are encouraged to review the current FHSAA guidelines to determine their student’s eligibility.
FHSAA Bylaw Reference
“Any public school, including a charter or lab school, in the county in which the student resides or may develop an agreement with a private school in the county in which the student resides.”
